Yes, I know the Chamber “fights” to preserve the free enterprise system, to prevent bad legislation and government, and to make the City of Norwalk a good place to live, but what advantages can the Chamber offer me?

Getting Straight Answers to Straight Questions
The following is a list of the some of the free services and benefits available to all Chamber members. Listed next to each item is approximate annual value of these membership advantages.

Publicity
All members may receive free publicity in the Chamber member directory listing, as well as adverising opportunities through the Norwalk Chamber News. The Chamber also arranges grand openings and ribbon cuttings.

Business Referral Service
We receive many requests each year for the names of local businesses, professionals, services and other establishment. ONLY Chamber members are referred.

Seminars and Workshops
During the year many professional programs are providing in the areas of business management, financial development and skills development. The Chamber partners with organizations such as the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to provide quality programs for Chamber members.

Affiliate Organization Membership
The Chamber belongs to the following organizations: U.S. Chamber of Commerce, California Chamber Of Commerce and Western Association of Chamber Executives. The Chamber makes available to members the information provided by these organizations.

Publications and Brochures
Hundreds of hours of research and production go into publishing of the many lists and brochures that are available. This includes the membership directory, clubs and organizations, area maps, demographic information, schools, churches, etc. They are very useful for marketing and advertising purposes.

Certificates of Origin
Legal certification documents required for importing or exporting products to certain countries are available through the Chamber.

Business and Political Contacts
Through various Chamber events, meetings and activities, you meet fellow members who can send you valuable business... and vice versa. You become part of a personal “customer referral service.” And if you need political “clout” we can provide the contacts with your elected officials.

Marketing and Research Information
Extensive information regarding business trends and forecasts, real estate developments, business opportunities, availability of capital and financing and employment opportunities are available.

Professional Counseling Service
Special counseling services for solving any business related problems are available at no charge through our resources with the Small Business Development Center.

Monthly Networking Opportunities
Social and business contacts take place every month as you listen to interesting speakers.
