Editorial Standards

Members of the Norwalk Chamber are welcome to submit articles for the Norwalk Chamber News. However, all articles must comply with the Chamber's editorial standards. The standards are as follows:

  • Articles must be in a Word or similar text file format and must be submitted via email, or on a disk, to the Norwalk Chamber
  • Articles must be 300 words or less
  • Articles must be informative and not self-promoting (i.e. a local doctor can submit an article about how to combat the flu and include his/her name or number for more information, but CANNOT include office hours, discounts, promote his/her business, etc.)
  • Articles cannot be in the first tense (I, me, myself, etc.)
  • All articles are subject to final approval by the Norwalk Chamber, who reserves all editorial rights

The deadline to submit articles is the 3rd Friday of each month for the following Friday publication. Since the newsletter is produced monthly, it is recommended that articles not be time sensitive. There may be an occasion when the Chamber needs to delay a story a month or two. Also keep in mind that the Chamber can only publish articles as space is available.

For questions regarding the editorial standards, please call the Chamber Office at 562.864.7785.
